PC Modding • Paracord Sleeving

Soft, matte paracord sleeving for custom PC cables and extensions. Ships with inner core (not pre-gutted); for sleeving, simply remove the inner strings for a snug fit on 18–16 AWG. For the most accurate color, pair with white/neutral wire to reduce tint or bleed-through.
Matte, soft aesthetic The signature paracord look—reduced glare with rich solid colors and patterns for showcase builds.
Color-true results The sleeve largely defines the final color. For light or pastel shades, use white/neutral wire underneath to prevent dulling.
Flexible routing Paracord bends easily for tidy runs in SFF and standard cases; works with combs sized for sleeved 16–18 AWG.
Modder-friendly finishing Compatible with heatshrink-less or traditional heatshrink techniques at terminals.
Fit & Sizing
Cord Type | Type III 550 paracord (nylon), sold with inner core (not pre-gutted). Remove the inner strings before sleeving for best results. |
---|---|
Recommended Wire | 18 AWG (≈2.1–2.3 mm OD) easy install; 16 AWG (≈2.4–2.6 mm OD) for a fuller look once core is removed. |
Color Management | For light/bright paracord, use white wire to keep the sleeve color crisp under case lighting. |
Combs & Accessories | Most combs sized for sleeved 16–18 AWG work well; choose slightly larger slots for thicker 16 AWG builds. |
Use Cases | ATX 24-pin, EPS 8-pin, PCIe 6+2-pin extensions or full modular sets. |
Which wire should I buy?
Most builders use stranded copper 18–16 AWG. If you want a fuller cable, go 16 AWG; for easier pin insertion in tight connectors, 18 AWG.
How do I remove the inner core?Cut the paracord to length, pull out the inner strands from one end, trim, and melt the ends lightly to prevent fray before sleeving.
